16: The Champion School in International Chess - 1966
The Singapore Chess Federation (SCF) began to take an interest in promoting International Chess in non-English stream schools in mid 1960s, and so a tournament was organized for non-English stream secondary schools to participate.
I sent in this team from Thomson Govt Chinese Middle School, and they emerged as the Champion School in the Inaugural Inter-School Chess Tournament for Non-English Stream Schools in 1966.

Later, I was told that some of the team members started an International Chess Club in Nanyang University when they enrolled there for their tertiary education.
